Bob Keeley - well known on the
live UK Country Music scene and previously the Rock 'n' Roll
circuit has now become a solo act combining all his talents
and genres of music. Here's a brief but complete history of
the man and his music and why he's opted for his one guy show.
After about 5 years on the rock and roll
circuit with 'The Rockafellas' Bob was asked
by Glen Mitchell (now a successful musician
in Nashville) to join country rock band 'The Troubleshooters'!
About 3 years later, with Glen then moving on to other things
Bob stepped up front and the band was re-named 'Blackjack'
and became one of the top modern country bands on the circuit!
Roll on 3 more years and the band began to
split up due to family commitments - pretty much a victim of
their own success being away from home for so long! Bob was
offered a place with the 'Nadine Somers Band'
almost straight away featuring Rob Childs and
of course Nadine and all three of them enjoyed
great success all over the country and abroad with Bob's 'Mr
Blue' being played many times on Londons 10.35
Radio station.
After another 4 years Nadine decided to part
company with the boys and try to settle down (somehow she has
managed it with 2 lovely kids and a doting hubby)! Not ready
to give up the rock & roll lifestyle yet, Bob and Rob formed
the almighty 'Vegas' and with their brilliant
musicianship and their relaxed and often humorous rapport with
their audience, they soon built an army of fans (Bob
wishes to thank each and every one of them for making his time
with 'Vegas' just one BIG party!)
Another 5 years and a few more grey hairs
and Bob has had to sadly move on from 'Vegas'
to spend a bit more time with his family (lovely wife Tracy
and 10 year old monster, Joe).
Although sadly parting company
with good ol' Rob (now working with Andy Sapphire,
ex Blackjack, Sidewinder), Bob is looking forward
to being at home a bit more and will still be doing 1 or 2 solo
gigs per week, so check out the gig
list and go see -
